Your Relationship with Your Hairdresser Doesn’t Matter When Filing Claims

0

The most challenging part of going through a legal battle for hair damage claims is going against your hairdresser. You know the person well, and you understand that what happened was an accident. However, you can’t let your prior relationship get in the way. You deserve justice for what happened. So, if you still ask yourself, can I sue my hairdresser? The answer is yes.

It’s about something bigger

Sure, what happened was an accident, but it was also a result of poor management and training. The hairdresser didn’t do well due to the lack of training, especially in using salon equipment. However, it’s the management’s responsibility. Therefore, your lawsuit won’t only be towards the hairdresser but the management team.

You also want this problem not to happen again. The hairdresser might commit the same mistake if the management style persists. The lawsuit and potential loss of money could change the way things get done.

There’s a pattern of negligence

You’re probably not the only person who became a victim of negligence. Other clients had injuries but decided not to move forward with a lawsuit. They didn’t suffer a significant injury or were afraid to go through a legal battle. When you decide to file for damage claims, you’re doing it to break the pattern. You can’t afford to see more people becoming victims.

It sends the right message

This battle even goes beyond the salon that you sued. It also sends a message to other salons to do a better job. They need to train their hairdressers well before asking them to work on paying customers, invest in quality equipment and not settle for cheap alternatives. If hair salons can get away without consequence, there will be more victims, and you can be an instrument for change.

You can still have a relationship with the hairdresser

Just because you’re in a legal battle doesn’t mean you can no longer have a relationship with your hairdresser. Again, it’s not a personal fight. You want to change what’s happening and prevent another disaster. You also wish to the hairdresser to do a better job and for the management team to provide adequate support. If anything, you’re helping the hairdresser improve. This lawsuit already placed a dent in the hairdresser’s reputation, and the only way for the management to save it is by training and doing a better job.

Prepare for the challenge

Whether you face the other party in courts or during settlements, it won’t be easy. Therefore, it pays to prepare for the challenge. Gather evidence and practice what to say. Keep your story straight and prepare for potential questions during your testimony. Talk to your lawyers and cooperate with them. They will take the lead, and you should listen. These legal experts will protect you and ensure justice. Don’t fear anything, and keep the fight going.

It will never be easy, but you’re doing the right thing with the legal experts behind you.

Tips for Quickly Bringing in Extra Cash

0

Whether it’s a financial emergency or you just want to increase your savings, you might find yourself needing or wanting cash as soon as you can earn it. The good news is that there are plenty of ways to do this, and many of them can be done from the comfort of your own home.

Sell Your Life Insurance Policy

If you have a life insurance policy you no longer need, you might want to consider selling it for cash. While you will no longer receive the death benefit, you will receive a cash payment. If you feel this is the right option for you, you can use a life settlement calculator to determine whether you qualify to sell your policy. You can also calculate your policy value to estimate how much you could receive.

Use Your Photo or Video Skills

You can sell photos or videos online to bring in more income. Depending on your images, you might be able to sell them on a stock photography site. You can upload your pictures to several of these online databases, and if they are approved, they will be available for designers, organizations, or others to purchase and use. You can sell each photo an unlimited number of times, so once you start uploading images that are in demand, you can make some passive income.

If you have videography skills, you can make money with online videos. You can create a guide or video course and monetize it by allowing only paid customers to access that content. You will need to do some research to find out what is in demand and use the right key phrases in the description.

Offering Tutoring

You can offer your services as a tutor to bring in a few extra dollars. It’s flexible enough that you could do it in the evenings or on weekends as a side hustle. And it’s easy to do in nearly any country. You might grow your business by offering discounts to those who promote your services, since word-of-mouth is a great advertising tool.

Try Typing

You won’t get rich off of this one, but you can use it as a side hustle to bring in some extra funds. Transcribing involves listening to audio files and typing exactly what you hear. There can be a bit of a learning curve to this, since you will need to format it correctly. Some transcribing places require you to get some equipment, such as headphones or a foot pedal, and you may need to use specific software.

Typically, the pay for transcription focuses on how much you type, not how long you spend on a file. So, you will want to ensure you are a fast typist so you can make it worth your while. The time you spend on each file will depend on the quality of the audio, speaker’s accents, and the speed they speak at. Most transcribers can type around 75 to 100 words a minute, so you will typically spend about four hours on one audio hour.

Clothing For Cheaper: Why Coupons Are Important For You

0

In the present time, there is no question that the world runs on production and the purchasing of clothes, shoes, and many different accessories. Especially now, people have this urge to buy extra clothes that fit their aesthetics and expand their wardrobe. However, the reality about these is that they can deal a massive blow to your monthly budget.

Spending a chunk of your earnings on clothes isn’t the best thing to do as this affects other parts of your way of life, and it can be tough to resist a good top available. Thankfully, these businesses have offered courses for people to buy what they want while following their budgets. These come in the form of discounts such as a Macy’s coupon and the like.

What’s So Special About Coupons?

Most people who know about coupons have probably seen TV shows of people getting a significant discount on their groceries or clothing purchases. However, there seems to be a particular view of a coupon that seems damaging to the viewers. Some even think that having coupons is something only less fortunate people would use instead. Nevertheless, this is far from true.

Coupons are a “blessing” for anyone who seems to be lacking in funds from their clothing budgets. Imagine being so close to the amount you need to pay for a high-quality pair of slacks, and without a coupon, you wouldn’t be able to bring it home. Especially in a world that focuses on fashion and aesthetics, it wouldn’t hurt to have some at your disposal.

Saving! It’s Important!

Another fact about the current world is that many things now have become more expensive than expected. Going back to the example of the high-quality slacks, these will set you back for a few more numbers in terms of their price. Using a coupon will help you reach the price, but a principle is more important than this.

Coupons are synonymous with being able to afford some products, but they should be connected more to the idea of saving. It doesn’t matter if the discount was a minimal or a massive one, amounting to a few hundred dollars. The fact that there is some money saved is the most important.

With this, you will be able to save that amount of money for something else, such as food and drink items or a contribution to emergency funds.

Planning As Well!

Another good thing about having coupons with you is planning out your purchases within the given period. Whether it be for clothing or food and drink items, there are dates shown on the strips of paper or plastic.

This lets the user know how long these promos last and, if they genuinely want to avail of the product, allows them to strategize their intended purchase. Things like how much it will be or how much I need to save every day are made more accessible by using the coupon.

In all honesty, people should stop looking at coupons from a vain point of view. However, the fact that they rely on little stubs and sheets should not change their view of other people.

These are golden opportunities that companies give you for saving and purchasing. But, aside from this, they also give you a little lesson in budget planning and affordability.

Planning Wedding Bliss During the Pandemic

0

Trying to plan a wedding during the most stable times can be nerve-racking; add to that you’re trying to do it during a global pandemic, it may seem near impossible.

There are several things to take into consideration when planning your wedding with the ever-evolving COVID-19 pandemic. Many of the things you previously took for granted, such as most social events and conventions, have been canceled. It’s also the cause of airlines canceling flights and lots of rule changes for travelers.

The key to planning your wedding and not losing your sanity is to make and follow a checklist. Keep detailed notes highlighting important dates, such as the photoshoot for your engagement announcements. Organize your list in the order of events and details you have to plan.

Challenges

With the ever-changing mandates and guidelines set out by the government, it can be extremely frustrating trying to iron out the details of your big day. It’s important to express your emotions as they emerge. If you feel overwhelmed and feel like you could just cry, let it out! Suppressing your emotions will just add to your frustrations, and they’ll manifest inside you and come out at the worst possible time. Allow yourself to be honest about how you’re feeling, and you’ll have a better handle on things overall.

Stay up to date on restrictions and how they will affect you and your big day. First and foremost, your safety and the safety of your guests should take precedence. You should have two or three guest lists ready if there are issues with people traveling from other states or countries. There’s a possibility you’ll have to downsize your guest list to accommodate travel restrictions.

Details

It is important to pay attention to the details when planning any wedding, with all the uncertainty the coronavirus is inflicting on you, some details are more important than ever. A prime example of the details you need to be especially vigilant while in contact with vendors. Make sure you know and understand the restrictions of having to reschedule your wedding. Will you lose your deposit? What is the timeframe for rescheduling without suffering any consequences? Try to get a COVID-19 clause written into the contract to protect both you and the vendor.

Plan, Plan & Plan

With so much uncertainty as to what tomorrow holds, the only way to plan your wedding is to be sure you prepare for possible eventualities. Although vaccines are not mandated, consider planning and clarifying that you expect your attendees to be vaccinated. Obviously, you’re concerned for the safety of all involved. If you’re upfront about your guests getting the vaccine, you can avoid a potential stumbling block.

Just as you have a couple of alternate guest lists, be prepared to have alternate wedding plans in place. With the uncertainty of who will or can attend, you may also run into difficulties with your ideal venue. Worst case scenario, consider having a smaller wedding and plan for a reception at a later date. A great future date could be on the weekend of your first anniversary. Hopefully, the world will have calmed down and become more accommodating to large gatherings.

Just because it may not be feasible to have the large wedding you always dreamed of doesn’t mean your special day will be a bust. With proper planning and alternative approaches, you can have smaller, more intimate nuptial ceremonies and the reception of a lifetime later on.

The pandemic doesn’t have to ruin your day of wedded bliss. With adequate planning and backup options at the ready, your wedding will be the euphoria you’ve always pictured.

How to Start a Conversation

0

Starting a conversation, especially with someone you like, can feel a bit difficult for many people. You might worry if you’d be saying the right words or if your comment would even get a reply.

Thankfully, there’s a way around it. Speaking experts say, “not overthinking about what you have to say to someone you like is a great way to start conversing with them. While it’s good to think before you talk, it’s even better not to overthink before you talk.”

In this article, we’ll lead you by the hand on how to start a conversation with someone you like without breaking a sweat.

1. Pick the Perfect Time

Starting a conversation at the perfect time would allow you to spend quality time together with your crush. Therefore, you should choose a free time that you both can talk without distraction or hastiness.

Check their facial expression to know if they’re ready for a conversation or not. Moreover, pick a time you know your crush will be free to talk for, say, 15 minutes. Avoid trying to initiate a conversation when they’re in the middle of an activity. Lunchtime and closing hour are the perfect time to strike a meaningful conversation with someone you like.

You may also consider engaging them in discussions during casual events like parties. When it’s time to hit the dance floor, seize the opportunity to walk up to them and have a little talk.

2. Get into Their Inbox

Your crush would be someone you know in your school, workplace, neighborhood, or even church, so it makes perfect sense if you send them a friend request. However, if you’ve only met them on social media, there’s no harm in trying to send them a message.

Research has shown that many romantic admirers are now married because one of the couples was bold to start a conversation in their dm.

So here’s the trick; keep calm and don’t appear desperate upon sending them a friend request, on Facebook, for instance. Don’t message them if they haven’t approved your request.

If you want to hello them on platforms such as Instagram or Twitter, be sure to only like a few of their pictures and then message them by saying something like; “Hello. I don’t think it would hurt you to know that you take really stunning pictures. Your smile or your pose gotta be my favorite.”

That sure sounds confident and friendly enough. In no time, you’ll be getting a positive response.

The advantage of starting a conversation with someone you like using social media is that it helps you two bond quickly when you finally meet.

3. Find Their Interest

You should make an effort to know a few details about your crush, for instance, their interests, before talking to them.

You can pick a clue by sending them a friend request on social media to see their activities, for instance, who they’re following and conversations they follow. By also physically observing them, if you have the opportunity, you can notice the activities they prefer to engage in.

Based on your findings, you can initiate a little discussion with them. If they love a genre of music, you may ask them their favorite artiste of that genre. You can even go the extra mile of inviting them to a concert where they get to enjoy such music or see their favorite artiste perform. At this point, there’ll be room to talk as much as you’d like.

4. Use Compliment

Everybody loves a genuine compliment, and no doubt, it takes a while to forget. So that means you’ll be staying on your crush’s mind for a while if you happen to give them the best compliment.

Besides, whether they’re having a bad or good day, a sweet compliment would make them feel good or even better.

Relationship expert, Brown, says, “get honest about what you like about your crush and let them know. Whether it’s their smile, poise, intellect, or other attractive qualities, be quick to compliment your crush about it. This is because it automatically puts you in a positive light before them.”

You might wonder why. Well, you’ve made your crush feel good about themself.

Here’s a caveat; don’t over-compliment them. While being honest, say it politely and casually. This technique would help your crush feel good and also retain your worth before them.

5. Speak Like Casual Friends

When you want to begin a conversation with someone you like, try your best not to talk to them like strangers. Instead, use a friendly tone. Using this approach is advisable to avoid the awkwardness that usually comes with a first-time conversation.

Moreover, refocus your mind to see your crush as an acquaintance so that you’ll eliminate any feeling of nervousness or seriousness for calmness and friendliness instead.

However, refrain from sounding too familiar to avoid looking desperate or weird.

6. Talk About Your Surrounding

There’s something around you that you can comment on when you’re in the same environment with your crush.

First is the weather. If it’s a sunny one, there’s no crime in stating the obvious, albeit doing it creatively. You can say, “this weather is good for a perfect tan, you know.” From there, they’ll chip in one or two things.

If it’s cold weather, you may say something like, “do you mind a cup of coffee in this cold weather?” Sure, they’d give you a warm reply that’d birth a good conversation.

You may also talk about what’s going on around you. The idea is to find something to talk about that’ll open your crush’s mind to converse with you.

7. Practice

The thought of conversing with your crush might get butterflies in your tummy. Hence, it’s best to practice talking to strangers to avoid fist-time conversation disasters.

You can use chat numbers by talking to two or more people to test your communication skill with strangers. This technique will help you learn how to flow in a conversation that you’re not prepared for and be confident in it.

8. Recall a Memory You Have of Them

Perhaps your crush is someone from way back. You should have one or two memories of them. Now is the best time to go down memory lane with them.

Doing this will give them the impression that you never forgot about the memory you shared, and they’re still on your mind. Furthermore, it’ll make them want to contribute to the conversation.

9. Follow Up

A communication gap is a fast way to ruin a great bond. It just enables the other party to think poorly of you.

So if you have a great bond with your crush, don’t leave their texts hanging for days or ignore them just to seem like a hot cake. It never works.

Be sure to keep the energy if you get them to feel the same way. Only then would something great materialize from your conversation.

Use the next point to follow up effectively.

10. Invite Them For a Party

After doing all of the above, a great way to keep the conversation going is by confidently telling them about how you’d like them to attend a party coming up soon.

Speak with a cool, calm voice and avoid sounding desperate. This way, they’ll find it easier to trust you and honor your invite.

Lucky for you, if they appear at the event, try engaging them in party games that’ll give you both chances to talk.

Conclusively, endeavor not to feel anxious about starting a conversation with someone you like; instead, approach them with confidence and calmness. Take a deep breath before you do, and you’ll find yourself talking like friends.

That Fall Look We All Love to Rock

0

While 2021’s fall fashion runways are full of eccentric ensembles that often seem out of this world, the rest of us prefer more down-to-earth looks. As the weather gets colder and the sunny days of summer come to an end, we find ourselves looking forward to cozy clothing and comfortable footwear. Yet, we still want to look our best.

For many, that means wearing several iterations of the same basic outfit. No, it’s not a sign of failing fashion creativity. Rather, it’s a testament to the functional yet fashionable look of that autumn outfit we all know and love. You know the one I’m talking about! If you don’t, then keep reading.

Background

Rather than beat around the bush for another 600 words, let’s cut right to the chase and explain the “Han Solo Season” meme. For the two people who never saw Star Wars, Han Solo is a character whose lovable rogue personality is partly defined by his signature outfit. That outfit consists of leather boots, dark blue trousers, a light-colored long-sleeved top, and a dark-colored jacket or vest.

Sound familiar? That’s because if you’re reading this between September 30th and December 1st, there’s a good chance you’re wearing the exact same outfit right now. Women around the world have come to embrace the Han Solo look, and why not? It’s a fabulous outfit for traveling through the coldness of deep space as well as apple picking in Vermont.

With this in mind, let’s break this classic outfit down into its individual pieces to highlight how, despite the similarities, it’s possible to assemble a one-of-a-kind look that nobody else in the universe is rocking:

The shirt

This classic autumn ensemble always involves a light-colored long-sleeved top. From junior size henley shirts to plus size off the shoulder tops, these cozy yet stylish options lay the foundation for layering up. Throwing on a vest or jacket is as easy as taking it off, which leads us to our next section:

The jacket or vest

When it comes to our favorite fall outfit, the jacket or vest is perhaps the most important part. That’s because it’s the most noticeable and easy to swap out. Since most options lean towards military chic, they all tend to feature deep pockets, minimal color variation and are made from durable fabrics.

The slacks

Han Solo always wore dark navy or brown trousers with stripes along the pant legs. This is where most women correctly decide to stray, choosing instead to wear denim. While khakis and jeggings are also popular substitutes, hip-hugging navy denim tends to be the prevailing choice for most wearers.

The boots

It all comes down to footwear. In this case, the choices all include boots. From over-the-knee and knee-high suede to leather riding boots, we all own at least one pair. If tall styles aren’t your thing, Chelsea and ankle boots work as well. You can even get away with wearing high heel boots, although that might cut into the whole comfy and cozy thing.

The accessories

Unless you count the blaster on his hip, Han Solo didn’t wear much in the way of accessories. However, those wearing this classic autumn outfit will likely want to make it their own with the help of wide bracelets and hoop earrings. A matching handbag never hurt, either.

Who would have thought the lasting legacy from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away would be an outfit? It turns out there’s a lot of practicality that went into what Han Solo chose to wear. So much so that we can’t help but rock the same look every time the leaves turn brown.
