The unofficial NoHo motto is: “NoHo is only as great as its people.” This summer we are highlighting some of our awesome creative neighbors. This week features a North Hollywood dancer. Meet Mr. Bliss, a NoHo dancer and choreographer, and creator of NOHO SESSIONS.
What is NoHo Sessions?
So, #NOHOSESSIONS is a place where creatives of all kinds can come and just listen to music and vibe and connect with like-minded individuals. At the moment, it’s mostly dancers that come out and practice or test their skills in front of others that respect dance. Other creatives have shown face such as circus performers/ belly dancers. Artists have come to promote their music as well so it’s a full vibe !! I also go live on twitch every Sunday.
What’s your background?
I am an underground dancer 1st (bboy/popper/locker/ house)
Then got into the industry as a choreographer, mascot, artist, event planner and promoter starting from the early 2000s.
Why did you start NoHo Sessions?
It was June 19th, in the middle of the pandemic, I felt anxiety of others who wanted to express creatively and zoom was not doing it for most. I was also wondering why some of the top creatives weren’t at least doing things outside. But, I do understand the fear of covid but I didn’t want that to stop the flow.

What do you like about the NoHo Arts District?
It’s the middle of everything art wise, in my opinion. Yeah, you have Hollywood, DTLA, Santa Monica but they are always so congested in those areas. I felt we need something a little bit closer.
What would you like to see more of in NoHo?
A festival, block party, something to get the community together in a safe way.
What’s coming up for you?
I recently got off tour with “DA Baby” and doing my own show “BOOGIE BASEMENT“ with my team and in a couple of weeks I’m headed to Texas for a couple of video shoots and a tour in Texas. I also have another session at “POOM POOM TUESDAY” at “EL CID restaurant” starting from 9pm to 10:30pm and people can come session and do the same as #nohosessions but they can stay for the club night for free!! Other than that nothing else really just come out and vibe with us and be free to express!
