“Poison Gun,” written and performed by Dee Freeman, directed by Juliette Jeffers will play at Whitefire Theatre’s Solofest 2022 live, in person on Wednesday, February 9 and stream Tuesday, February 15.
About the Show
Based on true events. Loe’s granddaddy, a farmer in rural Louisiana, made a lot of money making and selling moonshine. Because he hated banks, they buried his money all over his 100 acre farm in huge, rusty Folgers coffee cans. At age 10, Loe was her granddaddy’s accountant, and she promised she would never, ever tell where the banks were located. But on December 6, both her grandparents were murdered and the manipulative, racist cop sent out to investigate the murder found out about the secret banks. He also found out Loe knew the location of the banks.
