About A Haunting Revue
Visit a museum with artwork that gets under your skin – and watch original stories told in that spirit.
An artist introduces three paintings of his, and the respective sci-fi/horror story symbolized by each one.
Birds of a Feather asks the question, “What if E.T. and Elliot were combined into one humanoid alien who then had 20 years of sibling rivalry with Michael and Gertie?”
These three characters – brother Hunter, alien Zanzie, and sister Daisy – find their dysfunction has its roots less in their having different home planets than in their having the same parents.
The Inheritance of Dracula imagines a face-to-face between the two people who most famously embodied the Victorian Count. Bela Lugosi did so in the Universal monster movies, while Christopher Lee did so in the Hammer films.
Lee went on to performances in some of the most iconic franchises ever (Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, etc.) after his time as Dracula, while Lugosi spent his final days reduced to working with the infamously talentless and impoverished Ed Wood. However, here he gets to meet the young man taking over his most famous role and offer his advice…and warnings.
La Mano del Mono literally translates to The Monkey’s Paw. W.W. Jacobs’ legendary 1903 short story is as chilling as ever. This update makes the married couple mere young adults while their child, only a preteen…and a recipient of considerable corporal punishment at the hands of her Hispanic mother.
While many minorities are known for such discipline, if you never saw your child again, are those the sorts of memories you would want to leave her?
