In looking to define his identity for himself and his son, Elizardi takes on his Puerto Rican heritage and American culture – creating a Spanglish riot of laughter and fun!
The show has played in over 10 states across the country and won “Best Stand Up” at the United Solo Theatre Festival in NYC. “Made in Puerto Rico” ran Off-Broadway for seven sold out weeks and was featured on ABC’s “The View” where Sunny Hostin called him “A Star!”

About Eli Castro
I have written and performed ten one-man shows including “Made in Puerto Rico” which ran Off-Broadway for seven sold out weeks! My shows have been reviewed and recommended by numerous publications including the “Chicago Sun-Times” and the “Orlando Sentinel.” They have also been featured on ABC’s “The View”; Telemundo’s Emmy-winning morning show, “Un Nuevo Dia”; Fox’s” Good Day New York,” WGN-TV, and the Univision network, among others. I also won “Best Stand Up” at the acclaimed United Solo Festival in NYC.
Before following my dream to become a stand-up comedian, I worked as a prosecutor and ran my own law firm where I worked as a criminal defense attorney. I am a licensed attorney in Florida, Illinois and New York. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Communications, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.

Parking
The area around The Whitefire is mostly permit-parking only. Allow plenty of time to find street parking. Alternatively, you are welcome to use the paid valet service at Augustine Wine Bar, just east of the theater, on the same (north) side of Ventura Blvd.
