Kayleigh “Predestined” Album Release

L.A.-based singer songwriter Kayleigh releases this bold rock pop album after a year of descent, protests, anger, sickness and chaos.

Her powerful, sometimes shiny, sometimes rock-grunge wall of sound style fits pretty perfectly into the present darkly manic national zeitgeist.

Kayleigh has scored over 75,000 streams on Spotify with 28,000 individual fans in 29 countries. Her single “Country Class” charted at number 173 on the DRT Top 200 Global Airplay Chart and received rave reviews. Her co-produced music videos for her previous singles, “Fading” and “Twisted//Mistake” have over 40,000 views on her YouTube channel….not too shabby.

The music is endemic of her strong visual style. The music is immersive, visceral and it creates wild and deliberate imagery as the sounds pound and swirl and build. There’s quirky pop in here too, sort of disparate and lost, broken and imperfect.

It’s all quite heady and I think deliberately wild and intense. There’s cynicism and irony in this gorgeous 23-year-old L.A. girl’s take on her world, which I rather love. I hear a little Shirley Manson, a little Joan Jett, a little Avril Levine…what a great night out that would be!

“Predestined” has potential, recorded during lockdown, mostly in her home studio. Kayleigh has put together a very intriguing and eclectic selection of songs. It will be interesting to see where she goes next….bravo!!
