HhhoooohhhooooNoooooHooooo Operation: SANTA 2021 in North Hollywood Needs YOU!
Every year since 1999, the Operation: SANTA project has delivered toys and cheer to disadvantaged families in the east San Fernando Valley during the holidays.
How does Operation: SANTA work?
The teachers at our local elementary schools choose deserving children and have them write a Dear Santa letter. Next, the Operation: SANTA team gets the letters and distributes them to generous Los Angelenos who step up each year to act as Secret Santas and buy gifts for these local children. Then, the presents get dropped off at Operation Santa Central in North Hollywood. Finally, they are delivered right to the families on the 24th and 25th of December.
“Also, we encourage offices, families and organizations to team up and privately sponsor a family or two to make it extra special by going out and shopping for the exact items that the kids requested and the families need. We will provide the kids names, ages and their “Dear Santa” requests.” – Operation: SANTA 2021 Team

About Operation: SANTA
We thank the community for making this most authentic holiday program magical each year. We started with about only 10 families in North Hollywood way back in 1999, and now we’re up to 100 families! Originally started by the late Michael Higby of the North Hollywood Jaycees, the spirit of Operation: SANTA continues on with the help of volunteers and support of the local community. Since 1999, hundreds of local North Hollywood children from economically disadvantaged families have their “Christmas wish list” come true.
