A NoHo Arts music review of Zach Churchill’s “Surrender” single.
L.A.-based singer-songwriter Zach Churchill’s new single “Surrender” is the first track from his upcoming album “Greater Than” due out in October 2022.
It’s one of those intimate and sincere cry to the gods kind of song that reaches out on so many levels. Melodic, complex, full of gorgeous guitar undertows and meaningful personal truth.

Zach Churchill wrote “Surrender” as a form of healing from his almost deadly addiction to heroin. The song explores the pain and the panacea of drugs, the music layered with a brilliant swirling mix of sounds, all of this lifting and surrounding the beautiful vocals, never overpowering, artful and intricate. It’s such a tricky balance, to keep the vocals out front and the music strong and meaningful. But this track absolutely nails it.
Gorgeous production! This exquisite balance reminds me of Maroon 5, or Third Eye Blind, but truthfully, Zach Churchills’ sound is all his own.
His story resonates, his voice perfectly clear, softly sculpted, authentic, original, purposeful.

I really love this track! Can’t stop playing it in fact and I am really looking forward to hearing the rest of his album!
