Chriskirkpatrickmas: A Boy Band Christmas Musical

Holiday entertainment just got more magical with Chriskirkpatrickmas: A Boy Band Christmas Musical. Think, A Christmas Carol meets It’s a Wonderful Life meets…*NSYNC. It’s Christmas Eve 2009 and Chris Kirkpatrick from *NSYNC has a decision to make. This musical parody mashup of holiday classics features 12 original songs in a celebration of the season with musical direction by Taylor Williams whose work can be heard on the Grammy Award-winning albums Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, and The Color Purple (2016 Revival).

SANTASIA – A Holiday Comedy

Written by Brandon Loeser and Shaun Loeser, directed by the Loeser Brothers and Tania Pearson-Loeser, produced in association with the Whitefire Theatre, the Los Angeles sensation and Off-Broadway New York hit returns to the Whitefire Theatre.  The critically acclaimed musical sketch comedy show features Broadway musical parodies, heartfelt sentiment and classic Rankin and Bass-inspired Claymation movies. The popular and celebrated live stage show has run in Los Angeles for past 23 years.

Bob’s Holiday Office Party

Every year, insurance agent Bob Finhead’s whacked-out friends and clients stop by his small-town Iowa office for their annual holiday bash. The town mayor, the sheriff, the twin farmer sisters, the stoner, the town floozy and the pastor’s wife have already RSVP’d for this year’s event. But Bob has dreams of a bigger life and wants to escape their narrow-minded thinking. Will he be able to fulfill his dream of becoming a professional inventor and move to the big city, or will he come to realize how much he is the heart and soul of the town? Will any of this matter once the party starts, the bickering and fighting begins, and the drinks hit the floor?

The Rat Pack Holiday Tribute Show

“The Rat Pack Holiday Tribute Show” will feature Aaron Jacobs, Tod Macofsky, Roy Kitaoka, Erin Ben-Moche, Devyn Kontur, Natalie Swanner and Bridget Sullivan backed by The Swing Tones 6-piece band. There are many prized moments throughout the show, including hits like Christmas Time All Over the World, White Christmas and Let it Snow along with the iconic melodies like I Love Paris, Fly Me To The Moon, Bojangles and more.

A Christmas Carol meets The Government Inspector meets Noises Off in this hilarious holiday hit. A man who asks to audition at a small theatre company is mistaken for an informer for the National Endowment for the Arts. Everyone caters to the bewildered wannabe actor, and he is given a role in the current production of A Christmas Carol. Everything goes wrong and hilarity ensues. This laugh out loud spoof makes for a night at the theatre that is anything but show business as usual.


December 9, 2022 – January 15

PROMISES, PROMISES is based on the 1960 film The Apartment written by Billy Wilder and I.A.L. Diamond, with book by Neil Simon, music by Burt Bacharach, and lyrics by Hal David. The story concerns a junior executive at an insurance company who seeks to climb the corporate ladder by allowing his apartment to be used by his married superiors for trysts. Most of the play takes place at Christmas time and trouble starts at the annual office Christmas party. It originally opened on Broadway in 1968 and was revived in 2010. Includes the hits: I’ll Never Fall In Love Again, Promises, Promises, I Say A Little Prayer for You, A House Is Not a Home, and more!

Christmastime Origins

December 17 – January 15

The Group Rep is proud to present Christmastime Origins based on the book The Eight Plays of Christmas written by longtime theatre journalist, radio host and critic Julio Martinez. The four pieces being performed are radio plays and deal with the source origins of the most beloved things about Christmas.  The Group Rep turns their upstairs theater venue into a radio studio (K-GRT) with actors at microphones, foley sound and music.  After show talkbacks with writer, cast and production team Sundays 12/18 and 12/25, followed by a book signing with Julio Martinez.

A Big Band Holiday

December 18

Celebrate the holidays with Big Band Alumni’s Christmas Concert and Dance Party – A Big Band Holiday – at El Portal Theatre. Join hosts Bill A. Jones and Nancy Osborne with the amazing BIG BAND ALUMNI for a concert of holiday songs with a swing!  The Big Band Alumni features some musicians that are graduates of the greatest big bands of all time like Benny Goodman, Harry James, Stan Kenton, Woody Herman, Count Basie, Jimmy & Tommy Dorsey, and many others from the Big Band era. GOTTA DANCE??? The beautiful Monroe Forum will be open for dancing all night during the show. The upgraded sound system and projection from the MainStage will make it feel like you’re dancing right onstage with the band!

A Winter’s Eve Concert with David Arkenstone & Friends

Having always believed that music can enrich our lives and ignite our imaginations, Arkenstone has created a candlelit evening that will transport concert goers of all ages.  A Winter’s Eve Concert with David Arkenstone & Friends presents a mix of his chart-topping favorites reimagined, a touch of new music, and plenty of surprises including a few traditional Christmas selections featuring strings, flutes and percussion. Among the favorites that fans might hear are Snows of Avalon, The Green Dragon, Carol of the Bells, Deck the Halls and The Jumper.
