The blockchain has recently switched to the Proof-of-Stake consensus protocol, meaning that from now on, it will be much cheaper to use the Ethereum blockchain, and besides, it provides much higher throughput. ETH coins can be staked, which is an excellent passive income option. One ETH costs $1,213, and the market cap exceeds $148 billion.
Both ETH and XRP are good investment options. However, it will probably take longer for RIpple to develop and skyrocket because of the ongoing court case connected with the SEC’s lawsuit imposed on the ripple company. It slows down its development. At the same time, Ethereum is supposed to reach the moon during the next bull trend due to the PoS mechanism recently implemented.
