We are doing a North Hollywood restaurant and bar series so our neighborhood gets to know the fun and unique local hangouts in the NoHo Arts District. This week we feature a NoHo locals’ favorite – Republic of Pie – where they combine pie, coffee and tea, music and fun! Republic of Pie reopens June 25 with live music.
Republic of pie (ROP) reopens means that their indoor and outdoor space is open for strawberry rhubarb pie and a green tea while editing a post. But, we can now add live music back to our favorite neighborhood hangout! We chatted with the fine folks at ROP and here’s what’s happening…
What’s on the menu?
Do you have any new menu items?
Nothing new – YET! We’re working on bringing back the full (pre-Covid) menu. The good news is our fan-favorite pies are on the menu and available: Strawberry Rhubarb, Blueberry Peach, Key Lime, Pecan, Chocolate Cream, Banana Cream, Chocolate Banana Cream, Earl Grey, Espresso Chocolate, Coconut Cream, and Cookies & Cream pie.
Are there any new rules customers must follow?
Indoor and outdoor dining is officially open. We ask that all unvaccinated customers wear a face mask per city regulation. Please and thank you!
Tell us more about your Happy Hour.
(Well, we all like a good Happy Hour!)
Join us between 3-5 pm, Mon-Fri, and choose a half-priced STUMPTOWN COFFEE or TEA item from our happy hour menu! Bring a friend, bring your Mom! Or even treat yourself to a two-fer!
Will music be back at Republic of Pie?
Live music is back at Republic of Pie this Friday, June 25th. 6-10PM. Friday’s artists include OHMCAT and The Ateliers. See you there!
What type of music are you looking for?
We’re looking for songwriters who are needing a place to share their music with our pie-and-coffee-loving community. Many people come to ROP to work on scripts or designs and love the creative energy expressed by our performers. The stage is perfect for solo acoustics acts, duos, and trios that are happy to harmonize with our coffee makers.
How can folks apply to perform?
(NoHo is a performing arts neighborhood with dancers, actors and musicians!)
If you are interested in performance opportunities send an email including a description, availability, and sample links to LiveMusicMonday@gmail.com. Can’t make it to the Republic of Pie? Watch the live stream to view some of the remarkable talent that we showcase every night.
Is there anything else you’d like to add?
Republic of Pie was intuitively born from a love of baking, a passion for coffee and a strong sense of community. Nestled in the heart of the NoHo Arts District, we are open 7 days a week!
Every morning our bakers prepare fresh baked sweet and savory pies, scones, shortbread delights, and bundles of joy before your eyes in our display bakery. Our highly trained barista’s continually challenge themselves while chasing the perfectly extracted shot of espresso, and relish the opportunity to engage conversation while creating siphon brews and pour overs. Adding to the unique coffee shop ambiance we also enjoy hosting a variety of local talents, including some of the area’s fastest-rising singers and songwriters.
We invite you to stop by, 7 days a week, not only for a rich latte that will inspire your next bestselling novel, or for a slice of mouthwatering deep dish apple pie that will evoke your most poignant childhood memories, but for an opportunity to relax, try new flavors, visit with friends and neighbors and experience the best of what the NoHo Arts District has to offer.

About Republic of Pie
Pairing high quality coffee with sweet and savory pies that are baked in-house each day, Republic of Pie serves as a gathering place for the creative North Hollywood community. Within its cozy barn-like walls, you’ll find a featured artist gallery, unofficial library bookshelf, big-screen television for documentary and film screenings and a stage venue for local musicians and performers. In addition to the scrumptious classic pies and beverages brewed with locally roasted beans, Republic of Pie’s eclectic atmosphere reflects the community’s social and environmental awareness in the use of reclaimed wood, recycled furniture and implementation of waste-reduction practices. Republic of Pie is the perfect spot to get work done (free wifi!), catch up with old friends or meet new ones.
