Pitfire Does Fall….L.A. Does Not….or Does It?

OK. Did they cancel fall? Yes, we think they did. But now it’s back on. Will it be summer again tomorrow? We never know. But, thankfully, we get fall at Pitfire Pizza.

We love the change of seasons, even if we only have 1.5 seasons in L.A.

But we do have the seasons at least in some delish dishes in our neighborhood. Pitfire Pizza’s fall seasonal  menu has arrived and it brings out the best of the season’s flavors and colors…even if you wear flip flops while devouring one of their dishes!

Here’s a snapshot (literally) of the Pitfire Pizza fall seasonal menu:

Meet Pitfire NoHo general manager Roy Wright.

Why did you choose to work with Pitfire?

Freshness and quality of the food. We set ourselves aside from mainstream restaurants with eclectic menu items with high quality ingredients. Also the unique seasonal items we bring each season. We always feature ingredients at the height of their season. For example in the summer Heirloom tomatoes. In the fall we feature brussel sprouts. I feel our atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. A place where you can get a high quality meal at a reasonable price.

Do you have any favorite dishes?

Yes the Field Mushroom Pizza with the enoki and crimini mushrooms along with the Fontina cheese. Honey Bear pizza which is sweet and spicy. I love the ricotta cheese and fennel sausage along with calabrian chiles. Also a drizzle of honey and Bee Pollen.

Which wine selections are you most excited about?

Honora Vera which is a young red wine from Spain that is medium bodied that pairs well with most of our pizza and pastas. Also the Monte delle Vigne Lambrusco from Italy. Pairs well with our Wood Roasted Pumpkin Pizza.

If you could bring back one dish, what would it be?

Pork Belly Sandwich and Murguez Sausage Pizza.

Are there any special events coming up this fall?

We have a literary crawl event  (LitCrawl L.A.) at our location on Wednesday, October 25th. Everyone included in the event presents a reading of their writings while enjoying a dinner at Pitfire for the evening.
