Olga in a Black Hole Satellite Symphonic EP Release

Think Thomas Dolby in space and you’ll have a pretty good take on Chris Lanuzzi’s remarkable “Satellite Symphonic.”

A Mooge master, he weaves and tweaks with notes he shimmers beautifully organic ebbs and flows of electronic music into an atmosphere of sounds. It’s like being inside his mind…or at least what it might sound like in there. Electronic insects calling out to each other in the rhythm of the universe.

It’s spacey but far from cold. The music reverbs through layers of warmth and pulses with life. It’s a strange and compelling combination. Familiar and yet entirely undiscovered. Like moving through a cloud of vapor, sensing movement and connection and echos of life all around you but just out of reach.

I love compositions like this. It’s Blade Runner in-between the words. Tron done right. It sounds like memories of the future somehow and as you listen you learn to remember.

Slightly spooky, gorgeously produced and just perfect to lie still to with your eyes closed, imagining whole lifetimes or to dance to or drive to or move through the world to, your own slightly subversive soundtrack. I just absolutely bloody loved it!!!
