Ascent Cycles is a full-service, bicycle retailer with a great selection of road, mountain, hybrid, e-bikes and kids bikes. They also stock a wide range of parts and accessories to keep you geared up, and they maintain and repair all brands of bikes to the highest standard. Tell us a bit about your cycling experience?
I have been in the cycling industry for almost 20 years. I began my career as a junior-level bike assembler in Northern California. I began road & mountain bike racing competitively at age 12, then went on to compete in collegiate-level events while attending Humboldt State University. I have been a shop mechanic for 10+ years and am a former Continental Pro-team mechanic. I love everything about cycling and helping people get the most out of their experience.
Why did you chose the NoHo Arts District?
I chose to open my business here in North Hollywood because I thought a full-service, full-line bike shop would be a great fit for the area. NoHo is a very accommodating when it comes to navigating by foot or bicycle. I also believe that as the area continues to thrive, we will see more of a need for a quality bicycle shop in the area that caters to every type of rider.
