About FRANK’S
FRANK’S is a Los Angeles-based theatre collective, founded one year ago with the sole intention of putting on great theatre. What started as one night of short plays in an Echo Park backyard has grown exponentially into a sold-out phenomenon in the Los Angeles underground theatre scene.
After enjoying full houses at Theatre of NOTE, Pacific Resident Theatre, New Theater Hollywood, the Elysian, and the Potrero Stage in San Francisco, FRANK’S comes to the Echo with an all-star slate of new short plays.
Previous nights of short work have featured pieces by some of L.A.’s most stimulating writers, including the stage debut of poet Amy Gerstler, Guggenheim Fellow and National Book Critics Circle Award recipient, and her husband, the artist and writer, Benjamin Weissman. We have produced work by Padua Playwrights artistic director Guy Zimmerman, Susan Smith Blackburn Prize winner Marlane Meyer, and the playwrights Phinneas Kiyomura and Wes Walker.
Alongside these writers, we have produced the work of younger avant-garde voices: Lucy Parks Urbano, Akela Munsey, Brin Constant Gordon, Frank Demma, Siena Foster-Soltis, Riley Quinn Scott, Johanna Stone, Moses Mascuch, and Hunter Woelfle, to name a few.
We hope you will join us for this limited engagement at the Echo Theater Company, alongside the first show of their 2026 season, For Want of a Horse.
“Finally, I don’t have to lie after seeing some L.A. theater. That was awesome.” – Lauren Weedman (Hacks, Looking, The Little Hours, Euphoria, and former Daily Show correspondent)
