[NoHo Arts District, CA] – Panic Productions is pleased to announce their next production of Arthur Miller’s classic Death of A Salesman directed by Mark Blanchard at The Colony Theatre January 10 – 26, 2025.
After many years on the road as a traveling salesman, Willy Loman (Joe Cortese) realizes he has been a failure as a father and a husband. His sons, Happy and Biff, are not successful—by his terms or any others. With his career fading, Willy escapes into dreamy reminiscences of an idealized past. Linda Loman (Frances Fisher) is aware of Willy’s habit of reconstructing reality; however, she also recognizes that Willy may not be able to accept reality and as a result, Linda chooses to protect Willy’s illusions by treating them as truth, even if she must ignore reality or alienate her children in doing so.
Arthur Miller’s masterpiece is an iconic American drama that harnesses bold realism with riveting theatricality and is a commentary on the American Dream which parallels the same problems of past decades – corporate dominance over the little guy and the American Dream resonates even today.
