About Miss Magnolia Beaumont Goes to Provincetown
Miss Magnolia Beaumont Goes to Provincetown tells the tale of a Southern debutante who chokes to death on the meat of a pork rib, only to find herself inhabiting the body of a gay, middle-aged New Yorker on his way to Provincetown, MA. Once the two get to know each other, Miss Beaumont helps Joe come to terms with some other darker voices inside him.
This newly updated and revised version of the comedy, which garnered awards at the New York International Fringe Festival 2010 (Overall Excellence Award), the Cincinnati Fringe Festival 2011 (Critics’ Pick of the Fringe), and the Fresh Fruit Festival 2013 (“Fruitie” Award), was a recent selection for the Spark Theatre Festival in NYC.
