[NoHo Arts District, CA] – Alice Manning’s solo show “Manning’s Madhouse,” directed by Geoffrey Dwyer, heads to the Whitefire Theatre Solofest 2025 on Saturday, April 12.
About “Manning’s Madhouse”
“Manning’s Madhouse” is an emotional, spiritual and psychological romp through Alice’s childhood, living in a 3 bedroom 1.5 bath Tudor home in Cleveland, Ohio.
With 9 children, life was a roller coaster ride, literally, as her Dad worked for Cedar Point, the largest amusement park in the Midwest.

Life on Allison Road was at times traumatic, and at times hilarious. Alice weaves these memories with historical events, painting a vivid picture of life as a small child in the 60s, while revealing the sibling relationship that shaped her life.

Alice starred in the National Tour of the one-person show, “Family Secrets,” the longest running solo show in Off Broadway History. Alice has been writing, producing, and performing autobiographical solo shows for over 20 years. Her intention in her writing and performing is to “take the audience on a cathartic roller coaster ride and send them out the other side laughing.”

Alice has four children and in her spare time 😊, facilitates large psychology workshops in nine prisons in California with the award winning non-profit, “Freedom to Choose.”
