A.R. Gurney’s Love Letters is America’s long running hit play, pulling your heart strings and tickling your funny bone. It is now starring two iconic stars Barbara Eden and Hal Linden for one night only!
Love Letters is a play by A. R. Gurney that was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The play centers on two characters, Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III. Using the epistolary form sometimes found in novels, they sit side by side at tables and read the notes, letters and cards. Over nearly 50 years, they discuss their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and defeats that have passed between them throughout their separated lives.
Love Letters is the late A.R. Gurney’s most famous Broadway production, holding audiences spellbound throughout the USA. It’s a sure-fire sentimental evening of star power and supreme acting. Barbara Eden, star of I Dream of Jeannie performing alongside Tony Award- and three-time Emmy Award winner Hal Linden, star of Barney Miller together deliver a once-in-a-lifetime evening.

The Cast
Barbara Eden starred as the title character in the sitcom I Dream of Jeannie. Her other roles included Roslyn Pierce opposite Elvis Presley in Flaming Star, Lieutenant Cathy Connors in Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and a single widowed mother, Stella Johnson, in the comedy film Harper Valley PTA and in the television series.
Hal Linden found success on Broadway when he replaced Sydney Chaplin in the musical Bells Are Ringing. In 1962, he starred as Billy Crocker in the off-Broadway revival of the Cole Porter musical Anything Goes. Then, in 1971, he won a Best Actor Tony Award for his portrayal of Mayer Rothschild in the musical The Rothschilds. Three years later, n 1974, Linden landed his best-known role as the title character in the television comedy series Barney Miller. The role earned him seven primetime Emmy nominations and three Golden Globe Award nominations.
