[NoHo Arts District, CA] – Writer Haig Cahinian takes his work from the page to the stage in the world premiere of Best. Dad. NEVER. at the Whitefire Theatre Solofest 2025 on February 8.
A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the LAFD Foundation in support of their work on our devastating fires.
About Best. Dad. NEVER.
After years of fearing he’d never be a father, gay Armenian-American Haig Chahinian became the happiest dad of a bouncing Black biracial baby girl. Seeking to be the best Janelle Monáe-listening, Black Girl Magic-supporting, antiracist papa ever, he instead stumbles through the humbling and oft-hilarious fumbles of fatherhood in multiracial America. Best. Dad. NEVER. is searing, intimate, richly relatable comedic storytelling about what we inherit, what we pass down, and the inherent conflict in striving to be good.
The world premiere of Best. Dad. NEVER. marks the first time Haig “Hike” Chahinian will be telling the viral, heart-wrenching stories he wrote in O The Oprah Magazine, Cosmopolitan, and The New York Times Modern Love. With creative consulting by Greg Walloch (Hasan Minhaj’s Peabody award-winning Homecoming King), the one-man show will run as part of Whitefire Theatre’s Solofest on Saturday, February 8, 2025.
Save the Date!
This one-night-only event will precede his eagerly anticipated 2025 Hollywood Fringe run at the Hudson Theatre Mainstage at 7:00PM on June 5, June 14, June 17, and June 28. Tickets for these shows will go on sale May 1, 2025.
