[NoHo Arts District, CA] – An Important Business Office presents their production of A Revenge on Reality at the 2026 Hollywood Fringe Festival.
It’s the most fun you can have with an existential crisis!
About A Revenge on Reality
Max, an aspiring playwright and self-indulgent pseudo-intellectualist, is working on their magnum opus: an unnecessarily meta piece of theatre examining the nature of reality. Sam, a normal and well-adjusted human, is doing their best to rein Max in. As Max drags Sam—kicking and screaming—through layer after layer of misinformed philosophy and misinterpreted literary technique, the pair begin to deconstruct reality until their entire understanding of the world is shattered. But don’t worry, they have a great time doing it.
One of them does, anyway.
A Revenge on Reality is the second Hollywood Fringe Festival production from An Important Business Office. Last year’s production, A Needless & Wasteful Requirement, was nominated for the Theatre Theater Playwright Award, and the Theater Planners “Planner’s Pick” Award.

The Team
Ava Fojtik (Max)
Ava Fojtik is an actress and writer from Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She has an MFA in Playwriting from the University of California Riverside, and has had her plays produced at Augsburg University and the Redlands Theatre Festival. Some of Ava’s recent acting roles include Viola in Twelfth Night and Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, for which she also played piano and bass guitar. Ava starred in Miette Deschene’s short film Morningshed, which recently screened at Crypticon Seattle and The Great Film Club LA. Ava has written and directed for the Minnesota Fringe Festival, and she is excited to make her Hollywood Fringe debut with A Revenge on Reality.
Chelsea Greer (Max)
Chelsea Greer (she/her) is very excited to be making her Hollywood Fringe debut with A Revenge on Reality! You can currently hear her as Jane Bennet, Maid Marian, Veronica Lodge and more on scripted comedy podcast Madison on the Air and as Amelia on Tales of the Monster Hunters. Offstage, she is still trying to beat BG3 (feel free to bully her) and loves spending time with her two sons Dragon and Poe, who are both animals she literally gave birth to. Chelsea is so grateful to be working with such a wonderfully weird cast and crew and hopes you all enjoy the show! @boxedchelsea
Amanda Noriko Newman (Sam)
Amanda Noriko Newman is excited to be part of this wild show! They were seen last Fringe in A Needless and Wasteful Requirement and are a regular performer with both Shakes on the Rocks and Riot of the Tipsy Bacchanals. As a voice actor, they can be heard in several indie podcasts, including The Storm Runner, Apollyon, J-Town: A Visual Novel, and Nyctophobia. As a fight choreographer, their work can be seen at this year’s Fringe in The Porters of Hellsgate’s Arden of Faversham, and has been seen in the past at East West Players and Revelry Theater Group, among others! Finally, she streams D&D every Tuesday on Twitch with Legacy of Fools!
Rob Miller (Sam, Director and Playwright)
Rob is excited to return to the stage as Sam in A Revenge on Reality, putting on his actor hat* for the first time in years. Once upon a time, he performed roles such as Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Conjure Man and Marvin Hudgens in Dark of the Moon, Tuzenbach in Three Sisters, and, most importantly, a Clown in The 39 Steps. In recent years his focus has shifted toward writing — under the pseudonym “Robert MacRae” he has published the comedic fantasy novel Kingdom of Trash, and in the 2025 Hollywood Fringe he wrote and co-directed the Godot-inspired one-act A Needless and Wasteful Requirement, which was nominated for the Planner’s Pick Award and the Theatre Theater Playwright Award. Also, he wrote this play. He’d like to thank Rachel Holiday for all her support (and artwork) through the madness of Fringe; Micala & his castmates for their contributions in bringing this nonsense to life; Raincoat, Paddington, Persephone, and Pascal, for existing; and Beau.

Micala Stone (Director, Producer)
After co-directing A Needless and Wasteful Requirement for the 2025 Hollywood Fringe Festival – which was nominated for The Planner’s Pick Award and The Theatre Theater Playwright Award – she is thrilled to return to the festival with A Revenge on Reality as both director and producer. She is incredibly jazzed to be collaborating with such a brilliant cast and continuing the next wacky experiment for An Important Business Office with her creative partner in crime. Endless thanks to her amazing cast, friends, family, Rob, the freaks she calls sisters, her five chaos gremlin nephews, and most importantly, Gaia Cat.
