NoHo Gets Smart Metro Bikes.
Metro’s Bike Share Program just expanded to North Hollywood with a Smart Metro Bike Fleet!
Did you know? This marks the first Metro Bike Share program to launch in the San Fernando Valley.
North Hollywood is getting more than 13 Smart Metro Bike Share, and more planned stations will be installed in the coming weeks.
The Metro Bike Share system features 1,500 bikes available 24/7, 365 days a year in Downtown LA, the Port of L.A. and Venice. This latest expansion further develops first and last mile access to Metro bus and Metro rail lines, including the Orange and Red Lines, and gives residents an opportunity to explore and commute in L.A.’s NoHo Arts District.
How It Works
Unlocking a Smart Metro Bike is as simple as tapping your card to the screen on the bike’s handlebars.

There are three ways to unlock a Smart Metro Bike.
• Use a TAP Card: If you purchased a TAP card at a kiosk, or if you have a TAP card registered for Metro Bike Share, tap your card on the bike screen to unlock.
• Use an ID & PIN: If selected at the kiosk, use the User ID and PIN texted to you.
• Use the Metro Bike Share app: Metro Bike Share passholders can release Metro Bikes with the Metro Bike Share app and our partner app, BCycle.
Ride a Smart Metro Bike for just $1.75 for every 30 minutes. Purchase passes at any Smart Metro Bike Share kiosk or save time and purchase a pass online.
30-Day Metro Bike Share Passes are $1 when you use promo code MOREMETROBIKES at checkout. (Offer valid until October 1, 2019. Valid online only.)
