[NoHo Arts District, CA] – A NoHo Arts music review of Mr. Missy’s “Looking For You” album release.
Marc Robichaud is Mr. Missy. Singer-songwriter and long-time touring and recording musician, Robichaud’s album “Looking For You” is a full on, desperately romantic Americana romp. It feels like a road album, you know the kind you play on a loop when you’re on a long trip to somewhere you love.
Uplifting, toe-tapping, sing-along tracks full of nostalgia and the promise of sunshine and a better world.

For a Canadian he really knows how to tap into that good ol’ American rhythm, the shuffling sounds of mid-America, gentle loving and star-filled nights. Straight out of the American songbook in fact. But this kind of music has become a universal call to arms for the lonely, the weary and the lovelorn. And oh those twanging steel guitars!!!
I have pretty eclectic tastes in music. From opera to techno and everything in between. But I do find it hard to resist this kind of archetypal humanistic guitar-filled, harmonious bluesy rock music.
“Looking for You” is full of stories of heartbreak, melancholy and beautifully balanced poetic loss. It’s a fantastic album. Easy to listen to, hard to forget.

This will be on heavy rotation in my house for a while I can tell you! I love love loved it!!!!
Favorite song – “Tumbled Up In Love.” Because I know exactly how that feels…good god I do!
