On Thanksgiving Day, more than 5,000 participants will run, jog and walk a 10k/5k course through the NoHo Arts District neighborhood to raise money to provide 270,000+ hot meals to those in need.
The Drumstick Dash is open to runners, walkers and joggers of every age, including a Lil Gobblers course for those under 12-years-old. Participants will receive five-inch, giant running medal, tech running shirt and gifts from 20+ sponsors and vendors. Participants are encouraged to register at drumstickdashla.com. Free parking is available at the Metro Station on Chandler Ave. and Lankershim Blvd.
According to Ken Craft, , founder and CEO, “L.A. County is experiencing a homeless epidemic. Through the Drumstick Dash we are able to meet the needs of homeless by providing shelter, clothing and over 270,000 hot meals each year in and around L.A. County. Each year runners ‘Move their feet so others can eat.’”
All proceeds of Drumstick Dash LA benefit the work of Hope of the Valley Rescue mission, which provides essential housing, homeless and hunger relief services to those in need.
Community leaders and businesses in partnership with Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission have joined arms to help meet this great need including: BeachBody, Keyes Cars, Councilman Paul Krekorian, NoHo Arts District, Crunch Fitness and 24 Hour Fitness.

Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission offers immediate assistance and long-term solutions to prevent, reduce and eliminate poverty. They provide hot meals, showers, clothing, safe shelter, medical and mental health referrals, job assistance, housing navigation services, case management and more. All services and programs are designed to move men, women and children who are experiencing homelessness from crisis to stability.
