Meet Onyx
Onyx came to the shelter as a stray in December. He was very scared and unsure at first but after one very positive interaction with a volunteer he blossomed! This boy is smart, loves people, affectionate and is dog friendly (dogs his size, small dogs and cats unknown). He’s medium to high energy and would do awesome as an adventure buddy for an active person or family. He’s been overlooked by adopters because his kennel presence is not the best. He barks, jumps and spins in his kennel when people walk by but this is just attention seeking and these behaviors are not seen outside of the kennel. Did I mention that he’s a stunner? Glossy black coat, perfect ears and his front toes are the cutest bright white.
How Can I Adopt Onyx?
You must adopt Onyx or any animal in person. The East Valley Animal Services Center is open without appointments every Saturday and Sunday, from 11am to 5pm, and by appointment Tuesday through Friday from 8am to 4pm for pet adoptions and fostering.
