January is always a weird month. We use the word weird because we are a bit sad to see the holidays go and we are a bit glad (some are thrilled) to see the holidays go. We spend the holidays being grateful and kind. But why does being grateful and kind have to stop in January?
Does having new year resolutions make us become cranky, ungrateful, glass half empty folks? We say “NO!”
The NoHo Arts District dot Come team wants to help us remain grateful, kind and hopefully stick to at least some of our new year’s resolutions.
If you haven’t already welcomed Hoke Poke to the NoHo neighborhood (5077 Lankershim Blvd Unit B, North Hollywood, CA 91607), now’s your chance. New to the poke culinary experience? Not to worry, you’re in good hands.

“You put your bases in…you pick your proteins out…you throw your mix-ins in…and you sauce it all about. You do the Hoke Poke and you pick your toppings out…That’s what it’s all about!”
Hoke Poke is a fresh take on a Hawaiian classic, created by four Angeleno friends with a serious love for poke! They serve responsibly-sourced, sushi-grade fresh fish with local produce and original sauces in creatively curated combinations. Choose one of their signature Chef’s Choice bowls, or “Do the Hoke Poke” and build your own culinary creation. They even do wraps!
