Hoke Poke, a fast-casual on-trend concept serving fresh Hawaiian poke with a California twist, will open in the NoHo Arts District on Thursday, October 12.
As Hoke Poke’s third Southern California location, the expansion builds on the success of Hoke Poke’s Downtown Los Angeles and Valencia restaurants.
The new restaurant, located at 5077 Lankershim (Next to Pizza Press), will offer $5 bowls and wraps to celebrate its grand opening, inviting customers to try the brand’s curated Chef’s Choice options or to “do the Hoke Poke” and design their own custom poke creations. Hoke Poke offers nourishing and delicious options for sushi fans and non-fans alike, with protein offerings ranging from raw ahi tuna, salmon, and albacore to cooked shrimp, as well as marinated mushrooms and a custom vegan Chef’s Choice bowl.
“Opening in the NoHo Arts District is a dream come true,” said Daniel Acuna. “This neighborhood means a lot to our ownership group, with all four partners raised in this community. We know that Hoke Poke’s fresh approach – a fun, California take on poke – will bring existing fans and new customers to the table alike, and we are proud to be part of the clean eating craze sweeping the state and the country.”
Started in 2016 by four friends in Los Angeles, Hoke Poke is expanding across Southern California and will soon have a national footprint. Hoke Poke is known for its commitment to serving only responsibly-sourced, sushi-grade fresh fish with local produce, and customers can choose curated Chef’s Choice poke bowls and wraps, or create their own using Hoke Poke’s proprietary homemade sauces and a wide variety of Japanese-, Hawaiian-, and California-inspired mix-ins. Hoke Poke also has an extensively gluten free menu.
