HhhoooohhhooooNoooooHooooo! Operation: SANTA in North Hollywood Needs YOU!
Since 1998, hundreds of local North Hollywood children from economically disadvantaged families have their “Christmas wish list” come true.
Originally started by the late Michael Higby of the North Hollywood Jaycees, the spirit of Operation: SANTA continues on with the help of volunteers and support of the local community.
Jack Witt, who has been with the program since 2002, sums it up as “the most authentic and true meaning of Christmas charity program in the valley.” He giggles that he may be a little biased though.

So how can YOU join in the Operation: SANTA fun? EASY!
“Now in its 20th year, Operation Santa will be providing toys, necessities, and cheer to 100 deserving families throughout the San Fernando Valley on Christmas Eve 2019. We work with local LAUSD schools to have the teachers designate the most deserving kids. We’re always looking for helpers.” – Operation: SANTA Team

This year the volunteer dates are:
Saturday, Dec. 21: Los Angeles Valley College Fireside Room (at Campus Center) from 10am – 2pm. Sorting and first count for families, decorating, bikes, calling families.
Sunday, Dec. 22: Los Angeles Valley College Fireside Room (at Campus Center) from 10am – 2pm. Putting together bikes, decorating, fluffing, calling families.
Monday, Dec. 23: Los Angeles Valley College Fireside Room (at Campus Center) from 3pm – 6pm. Fluffing, final count, PU for shelter kids, calling families, putting together Santa routes.
Tuesday, December 24: The Main event at Los Angeles Valley College Fireside Room (at Campus Center) with Santa and food and also deliveries to homes by teams of Santas and Elves. 9am-1pm.
