Fitness and Anti-Aging Secrets?

Can we really crack the code to looking and feeling great once we hit a certain age? According to local North Hollywood resident and business owner Jack Witt, the answer is “Yes we can.”

The NoHo motto needs to be: “NoHo is only as great as its people.”

One of our favorite types of posts is local features. Why? Because the NoHo motto needs to be: “NoHo is only as great as its people.” So, meet Jack Witt, a Los Angeles personal fitness trainer and wellness coach for almost 20 years with his business GetFitwithWitt.com He holds a master’s degree in exercise science and he just published another book, “Fitness and Anti-Aging Secrets: Cracking the Code to Looking and Feeling Younger.”

“I offer readers invaluable insight into many of the daily best practices and holistic approaches that I and many of my most successful clients have used to look and feel young and vital,” says Jack.

Why did you focus on anti-aging secrets?

At age 51 myself, I often get people telling me I look much younger. While some of that may be genetics, I attribute it also to the little health and wellness rituals/daily best practices I’ve done everyday now for about 20 years. I wanted to share that in the book and try to provide a roadmap /guidebook for readers to use to expand on their own health and wellness best practices to look and feel younger than they are.

You’ve expanded your company to give tours. What kind of tours?

Yes, a few years ago I started an active travel brand called Active World Journeys I love travelling and immersing in other cultures and seeing places up close and personal through hiking and nature walking. So now I organize and host small group travel all throughout the world. I’ve led active tours in Costa Rica, Cuba, Israel and Jordan, the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, the Camino de Santiago in Spain, and several national parks here in the USA.

What tours do you have upcoming?

This summer in June we’re walking across northern England on the Hadrian’s Wall Path. In January 2020, I’ll be offering a trekking adventure down in Patagonia, Chile (details coming soon). I believe it’s so healthy for the mind-body-soul to travel and get out in nature and be around other like-minded people who like to explore other cultures and world heritage sights.

What can people expect at the book signing?

It’ll be a fun gathering of my clients and friends, and the local community here in NoHo that has always supported me so much. Hopefully, I’ll get a chance to meet some new people who also might want to drop by after reading this interview. I’ll be offering signed copies of my new book at 25% off. There will be some raffle prizes. It’s also going to be an atmosphere for everybody to share their best practices in health with each other too.

I’d like to let the readers know that in all my years of experience as a health and fitness coach I’ve witnessed the human body be able to adapt, bounce back from injury, and repair and recharge itself – at any age. It’s never too late to take charge of your fitness and wellness!
