Yep. We do film in the NoHo Arts District, too. If you check the NoHo Calendar or drive past Laemmle Theaters, you’ll see many film premieres but you will also see folks with cameras on the streets of North Hollywood making movies. When we met the folks at Film Festival Flix, we had to share with our readers what they bring to the neighborhood, literally and figuratively. Film Festival Flix brings the movies from the film festivals to us here in North Hollywood. Thank you!

So is Film Festival Flix a film festival?
Film Festival Flix has flipped the old distribution model to accommodate changing times and shifting viewer habits. In past years, distributors have used the internet to drive audiences to theaters. Film Festival Flix is using theatrical openings and a monthly nationwide theatrical premiere series to drive audiences to its virtual studio and distribution channels. And it’s working. Film Festival Flix’s monthly theatrical event series offers VIP passes, Q&A’s with filmmakers and social interaction with like-minded cinephiles in the comfort of local towns and cities nationwide.

Why did you choose the NoHo Arts District for your monthly events?
Film Festival Flix has found the most supportive and artistic community we can think of in the NoHo Arts District. We love working with the ultimate indie film house the Laemmle NoHo 7, Michael Roud Photography who hosts our pre-event Cocktail Party and of course The Eclectic – our stellar host for our After-Party.

How does Film Festival Flix help indie filmmakers?
One of our missions is to continue the conversation between filmmakers and their audiences. Film Festival Flix is a distribution platform for indie filmmakers. Each of our films has won awards and gained recognition on the film festival circuit and we are bringing these artists’ work directly to you via theatrical release, online streaming and downloading on multiple platforms: FilmFestivalFlix.com, Amazon, iTunes, Netflix, etc; Cable Video On Demand, DVD sales and beyond. Our artists travel with their films to our live Film Festival Flix events across the country, inviting the true one-to-one connection between a filmmaker and their audience. In the end, many of our social conversations wouldn’t exist without the lens filmmakers provide and we believe in supporting them.”

SYNOPSIS: The film is set in contemporary Tehran, the capital city of Iran, and portrays the city life in three distinctive episodes of sentiment, sensitivity and wit. The next story is about a clergyman whose wallet and documents have been stolen and follows him as he tries to get the documents back from the thief.
