Bif Naked is an icon in her home country of Canada. She is a powerhouse of talents. Writer, poet, rock star and a woman at the forefront of cancer survivors, giving support and advice and a public face to a struggle many of us face, after battling breast cancer herself.

This song is a scream of pain into the universe. A declaration of independence and release. It’s an angry realization of a personal truth. And we can all relate to its message of a final, tragic, undeniable knowing.

“Jim” is gorgeously produced, Bif’s voice, husky, powerful and richly emotional. The music pounding, a wall of truly exquisite sound. The message is relentless and victorious and, although it’s heartbreaking, there’s a force behind the words. There is no weakness, no politeness, no bending, only a warrior’s cry and sense of relief at facing head on the certainty of betrayal. It’s a brilliant and anthemic song.
