[NoHo Arts District, CA]  – Beauty Haus NoHo owner and creator Jhazmyn Sandifer shares how she built a salon in NoHo that blends nail art, braiding services, community, and real nail health, with hair and lash services set to launch soon.

Nail art. Nail health. A space built for creatives.

What drew you to NoHo as the location for your new salon?

It wasn’t really a choice, since I’ve called this neighborhood home for the last eight years. I know the community/people, and the energy here. I used to come to this space as a client, so when the opportunity came up to make it my own, it just made sense.

How does this neighborhood influence the way you designed or run the salon?

NoHo is full of creatives, and that’s a big part of why I knew it would be a great location for the salon. Nails have always been a form of art to me, and that’s really how I see the work we do. I wanted us to be known for our nail art and the unique ideas our clients bring in, and it’s been really exciting to see that already happening.

What do you hope to bring to the NoHo community that wasn’t here before?

I wanted to build a salon that doesn’t just focus on the finished look for photos, but also on the health of the nails underneath. As someone who’s been in this neighborhood for a long time and as a true lover of nails, I always felt like that was something missing. It’s really important to me that when clients leave, not only do their nails look great, but their nail health is actually being taken care of.

What sets you apart from other nail salons in the area?

As I mentioned in the last question, I think what sets us apart is that we take nail health just as seriously as the artistry.

Also, I would say it’s definitely an experience when you come here. The community is filled with so many creatives, and I feel like the space really reflects that, from the pink marble flooring, which is just so pretty to look at. The music is always a vibe, and it’s not just me saying that, our clients say it too. So it’s really a place where if you want to relax, you can do that, but also if you want to have a good time, we can do that too. We’re definitely a listen and don’t judge type of place.

I would say polka dots are really big on social media right now, so a lot of our clients have been asking for that. It’s springtime, so the weather is getting nicer, and we’re seeing a lot of florals. And then, honestly, French is always that classic trend that everybody comes in asking for.

Are there any services people are surprised to learn you offer?

I would say people are usually surprised to learn that we also offer braid services and faux loc services. It’s something we’ve recently started offering, so not everyone knows yet.

How do you approach hygiene and safety, especially for first-time clients?

We take hygiene and safety very seriously. We have sanitation protocols in place and make sure all tools are properly cleaned and sanitized after each use. We also use a UV light sanitizer, so every client is getting a fresh, sanitized set.

It’s really about having the products and tools to help us keep the space clean and make sure clients feel comfortable.

What’s the most rewarding part of running a salon?

I would say the most rewarding part is being able to do something I really love every day. I love nails and I love art, so being able to do something where I get to combine both is really great.

And then just being able to make someone feel good when they leave. I know how I feel when my nails are done, so to be able to give other people that same feeling is really rewarding.

How do you want clients to feel when they leave your salon?

Kinda piggybacking off my last answer, I just want people to feel good when they leave the salon. I want them to feel giddy, because that’s such a natural reaction when you really love your nails. You’re just smiley, a little giddy, it’s kind of hard to describe, but the ones who get it, get it. iykyk.

That’s really the feeling I want people to have when they walk out.
