Lit Crawl L.A. is Greater Los Angeles’s second largest literary festival and a free-to-the-public citywide event.
The official Los Angeles affiliate of the Litquake Foundation’s international Lit Crawl series, the 5th annual Lit Crawl L.A. returns to the NoHo Arts District on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 6-10PM. By partnering with a variety of area organizations, Lit Crawl L.A. bolsters Greater Los Angeles’ literary scene and captures the Southland’s unique flavor — all while getting book lovers and revelers alike drunk on words. For Free! Restaurants, tattoo parlors, bars, galleries and other hip NoHo venues will host innovative presentations showcasing the best of L.A.’s literary scene from throughout Los Angeles County. 2017’s Lit Crawl L.A is Greater Los Angeles’ premiere grassroots literary event and 2017 promises to be another magical, vibrant night for all!

The deadline for presenters to submit for Lit Crawl L.A. 5 is June 9, 2017. We’d love to hear from returning and new Southland literary organizations, writing collectives, reading series, publications and literary groups formal and informal to jump into this fun, loud, guerrilla-style annual street event. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR LIT CRAWL L.A. 2017!
Calling literature lovers, people helpers and fans of a good street scene to volunteer for Lit Crawl L.A. 2017. Lit Crawl L.A. returns October 25, 2017 to the NoHo Arts District and we have volunteer positions available for:
1. Event Technical Director (stipended) Scheduling, venue liaison, equipment procurement, driving small rental truck of venue equipment, overseeing production assistants.
2. Marketing Intern (stipended) Laisoning with presenters, assisting with social media and promotion, coordinating photographers, videographers and social media volunteers.
3. Event Day Staff for our 35+ venues, runners and tech team.
Course Credit available for area college students. You need to be 18+ to volunteer and must be comfortable being on your feet and walking for a few hours at a time.
