The Ann Reinking Dancer Scholarship Applications Open Through June 30.

Off The Lane announced the opening of applications for the Ann Reinking Scholarship Program. Applications for this inaugural year will be open from May 3-June 30, 2021 with the winner announced at the Empower Artists Fundraiser on November 8, 2021, two days prior to the late Ann Reinking’s birthday. 

This $5,000 Ann Reinking Scholarship will be awarded annually to a young dancer looking to make the move to NYC to help support their artistic endeavors. 

Off The Lane’s mission is to help set this young artist up for success by providing monetary support, mentorship, and a community and network of people in the industry to help lay the foundation and framework for a flourishing career.

Advisory Board member and longtime friend of Ann, Bebe Neuwirth, says “A scholarship for dancers is a perfect tribute to Annie’s passion for dance, her deep generosity of spirit, and her boundless kindness and compassion.”

Caitlin Carter, Bonnie Oda Homsey and Melissa Thodos join the previously announced Advisory Board Members of Hinton Battle, Gregory Butler, Gary Chryst, Mindy Cooper, Dylis Croman, Charlotte d’Amboise, Erzsebet-Liz Foldi, Joel Grey, Marilu Henner, Bebe Neuwirth, Chita Rivera, Tommy Tune, William Whitener, Peter Talbert and Chris Reinking Stuart.

Off The Lane’s Board of Directors is led by Kristal Mallookis (president) and Jen Donohoo (vice president and program director) with the new addition of Nathan Sheffield of Herzog & Sheffield, P.C.
