[NoHo Arts District, CA] – From the office of Councilmember Paul Krekorian.

The City of L.A.’s six Animal Services shelters are full, with more than 1,400 dogs, 1,300 cats, and 400+ pocket pets that include rabbits, hamsters, and Guinea pigs. As they near capacity, they are looking to YOU, the animal-loving community, to help these amazing pets find new homes.

UPDATE!

LA Animal Services will be hosting a fee-waived dog adoption weekend, starting Friday, October 21 through Sunday, October 23, as Mars Petcare and VCA Charities will cover the cost of adoption fees of dogs and puppies. The special pet adoption event is part of the Mars Petcare 14th national BETTER CITIES FOR PETS™ Adoption Weekend.

To encourage adoption of feline friends in our shelters, cat and kitten adoption fees will be waived thanks to a grant from the ASPCA.
