A Prayer for September 11th

A Prayer for September 11th - a poem of remembrance by Waide Riddle.
A Prayer for September 11th - a poem of remembrance by Waide Riddle.
When love is the example.
When mercy is granted.
When courage is respected and honored.
When loyalty is appreciated.
When kindness and friendship is used and acknowledged.
When heroism is rewarded.
When patriotism is a way of life.
When faith and prayer is observed.
When dying is mourned.
When death is sacred and revered.
When murder is not tolerated,
and is inexcusable
and unacceptable
and never reasoned.
When the soil of Mother/Father Earth is no longer desecrated.
When cultures stand beside cultures.
When communities hold hands.
When truth prevails in justice.
When guilt has closure.
When debt is forgiven.
When human kind listens to and ponders all of mankind – then and only then-
 will there be true peace.
