[NoHo Arts District, CA] – Elise Dewsberry’s How to Get NO Feedback from Elise: Vlog #37 – RECAP.

The 37th installment of New Musicals Inc. Artistic Director Elise Dewsberry’s video blog, How to Get NO Feedback from Elise, celebrates three years of advice for musical theatre writers and invites viewers to help shape what comes next.

In this episode, Elise looks back at 36 installments covering everything from character development, plot structure and storytelling to song placement, dialogue, feedback and the challenges of writing a musical. She revisits her recent six-part assignment series and asks viewers which topics deserve a deeper dive, what new subjects they’d like her to tackle and whether they’d prefer to follow the series on YouTube, Facebook or as a podcast. After three years of sharing her insights, Elise wants to hear from the writers themselves. What’s working, what’s missing and what should she cover next?

Don’t miss Elise’s Assignments:

Assignment: Character Diction
Assignment: Character Identification
Assignment: Transitions
