About Michael Sargent
Michael Sargent emerged from John Steppling’s writing workshop as a teenaged playwright in the 80’s and has been part of the L.A. arts scene ever since. He had a string of hits over the decades at the Cast Theatre, Theater/Theatre, Actor’s Gang, Evidence Room, Unknown Theatre, Taper New Works Festival, Kirk Douglas Theater, Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre Group, and others. In NYC at Circle Rep, New Group, New York Theatre Workshop, and others.
Recent work includes Cheat Days at Zombie Joe’s Underground and The Last 90 Minutes starring Marcia Gay Harden.
The movie version of Sargent’s play I HATE! starring Alan Mandell is coming soon!
Fans of Sargent’s work will recognize Philip Littell from the workshop of Sargent’s Devils at the Odyssey, Keythe Farley from Sargent’s long-running, adults-only serial American Nympho at Evidence Room, and Suzanne Fletcher from Sargent’s Control Me at Unknown Theatre.
