[NoHo Arts District, CA] – Elise Dewsberry, Artistic Director of New Musicals Inc., continues her video series How to Get NO Feedback from Elise with Vlog #29, “Funny But True,” focusing on comic truth in character development.
Vlog #29 is part four in a short Character Development series and challenges writers to examine whether their comic moments are not just funny, but grounded in truth. Dewsberry reminds creators that humor lands best when it grows organically from character rather than being forced for laughs.
Don’t miss the other CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT videos:
Part One – DICTION
Part Two – EXPOSITION
Part Three – FIFTH BUSINESS
