[NoHo Arts District, CA] – The Group Rep is proud to present “Christmastime Origins” based on the book “The Eight Plays of Christmas” written by longtime theatre journalist, radio host and critic Julio Martinez, running December 17, 2022 – January 15, 2023.
“Christmastime Origins” is adapted by Doug Haverty, directed by Kathleen Delaney, produced by Suzy London and with musical direction by Paul Cady.
The four pieces being performed are radio plays and deal with the source origins of the most beloved things about Christmas. The Group Rep turns their upstairs theater venue into a radio studio (K-GRT) with actors at microphones, foley sound and music.
After show talkbacks with writer, cast and production team Sundays 12/18 and 12/25, followed by a book signing with Julio Martinez.

Cast features the talents of Cynthia Bryant, Ellen Burr, Shawn Cahill, Carolyn English, Lareen Faye, Tessa Grace, Doug Haverty, Brad Kahn, Lauryn McCollum, Suzan Solomon, Margaret Staedler, Mark Stancato, Kay Vermeil and Renaud Gordon Warrick.
