Many locals have asked what is Possch. Well now everyone will see exactly what our newest retail store, Possch has to offer….it is opening Friday, February 7.
I walked into Possch and immediately was amazed how beautifully it was designed. It was like walking into an art gallery. The shoes and clothing were not only fashionable but made out of quality material …just exquisite. I must say there is no place in NoHo or Los Angeles that is like Possch. The staff/stylists were very warm and friendly. I was wearing shoes that were killing my feet, so I asked Erica, the store manager, what to do? She went in the back and did something to my shoes that once back on my feet felt wonderful. There wasn’t one thing that Erica didn’t know about proper shoe fitting. I always have problems with accessorizing, so I asked Aldo and Isaac to give me a personal style consultation and style assessment. I was pleased that their guidance fit my personality and lifestyle. They made it simple without making me feel simple!
Possch is NO chain store…it is one of the most unique stores I have ever seen and I am pleased that Possch is our newest gem in the NoHo crown.
Check out Possch this week. Possch is located at 5144 Lankershim Blvd. (cross street Magnolia Blvd.).
A few words from Erica, Aldo, Isaac….
Describe the type of clothing and shoes you are carrying.
-At Possch we pride ourselves in our buying strategies. Looking through a myriad of showrooms and countless style forecasting services, we have peeked into the fashion future and brought back wearable works of art. We comb through the underground media to find designers and artists that are currently innovating design.
Who does your clothing/shoes appeal too… your audience?
-The primary Possch customer definitely does not fall into an age bracket. Our credo involves a saying that our creative department has used as a selling tactic for years. The Possch man and woman is not “a” man or woman at the party, he/she is THE man/woman of the party. Age does not defy our client, style does. Less is not always more if done right.
Why is your store unique?-
Our staff here at Possch is composed of fashion savvy individuals coming from diverse retail and corporate backgrounds. Our creative team has put together a “dream closet” concept. Possch is essentially a walk-in closet for the fashion forward individual. Having only one size of each garment puts our stylist on a platform to really focus and tend to a customer.
How does a person know what shoes go with what outfit?
– Through Possch’s extensive trend research and the in-store stylist’s own individualized research, we are able to assist our customer with their choices.
Tell us a little about your backgrounds.
Erica/store manager: I am originally from a small steel town near Pennsylvania, and cousin to Three’s Company Joyce Dewitt. I was classically trained at the renowned Point Park Conservatory for theatre as well as Broadway. After my time at Pittsburg Film Makers, I performed many productions such as Chorus Line, Pippen, Funny thing, and Ring around the moon. Once I fully experienced the East coast, I came to conquer the West. I became a member of SAG and was featured in the film, Inspector Gadget. I have always loved fashion and now can combine both passions.
Aldo/Stylist: Climbing the endless ladder of global retailers, I had an opportunity to work at the Beverly Center. Working at this renowned location, I was able to style several American Idol contestants as well as numerous other celebrities. Also, I have extensive experience in merchandising and window set-up.
Isaac/General Manager/Stylist: My experience is in all areas of retail management, sales, buying and styling. My first job in retail was at Macy’s where I was the top credit opener in men’s clothing. I worked for global retailers – opening stores, doing visuals, displays, staff training, and creating companywide global directives. I have styled everyone from teenagers for proms to American Idol Contestants.
