Want to hone your craft? Want to get back in shape with your monologue? Looking for a safe place to work on your material?
The Actors Forum Theatre’s Workshop is a non intimidating atmosphere in which to work on your craft. A place to, improve, maintain and hone the actor’s improvisational, creativity and acting skills. Not to be confused with an acting class. It’s not a class, it’s a workshop where you get constructive feedback that gives you an opportunity to grow.
A very professional, almost sacred space where people give their true impressions of each others work, but do it in a motion of kindness and love that has build the workshop into a marvelous creative community. The woman that runs it, Audrey Marlyn Singer is a director/producer who has ran the workshop since 1975 and produced dozens of theatre productions. She has an extraordinary eye for exactly what a song, scene or monologue needs in order to really spring into an energy that is almost magic.
Elizabeth Baker-actor, filmmaker and stand up comedian-
“I joined the workshop 10 months ago and have been finding my way back into performing. It has really been a lifesaver for me. I had never done improv before and found my gift of improv. I had performed all my life and never quite transformed into character. The workshop has helped turn from being a lucky professional into being a real performer. I am so grateful for the workshop.”
