Villa Sorrento Restaurant in North Hollywood opened in December 1956.  It was owned and operated by Iggy and Rose who were originally from Calabria, Italy. After Iggy passed away in 1980, Rose decided to retire and their daughters Rachel and Caroline took over running the restaurant.

Caroline and Rachel maintain the same quality of food and service that was started many years ago by their parents.  Caroline makes the cannoli's, which is an old family recipe.  She also makes the Gnocchi which were made by Rose at home many years ago.  There is always a family member present to make sure that the quality of food and the service is kept as their parents would have
