In The
Wings
In The Wings is a fast-paced
play-with-in-a-play. It is a
comedy drenched in heart.
The play opens with a
rehearsal two weeks before
previews; the set hasn't
arrive, the stage manager
has had it with the
dysfunctional cast, the TV
star is sleeping with the
novice, the veteran is
calling equity, and the play
doesn't have an ending. The
action takes place over one
rehearsal in which we
witness the unraveling of a
cast, the breakdown of
hierarchy, and the near
demise of a loving marriage.
Jerry Sroka's new comedy, a
semi-autobiographical
play-within-a-play, features
Mariette Hartley.

The Whitefire Theatre was
founded in 1982 and is
located on Ventura
Boulevard's Restaurant Row
in Sherman Oaks. The theatre
provides professional
performance space for
independent productions,
classes, workshops, casting
and rehearsals. Several film
and video projects also use
the space, including Buena
Vista Television.
