Wednesday night is a tricky night for theatre and I honestly didn’t quite know what to expect of this play from the title, ‘Love The Ones You’re With’! But after seeing the poster I thought, well if they’re brave enough to do this, then I’m brave enough to watch it!
I have seen quite a lot of Shakespeare. I’m from England, so it’s somewhat compulsory from birth, to be honest. I’ve visited the RSC, a couple of times, seen plays at The Globe, and The National Theatre in London, as well as numerous tours. In LA I attend the Shakespeare in the Park almost religiously and visit Will Greer’s when I can.
So, Shakespeare in NoHo?

This just happens to be one of my favorite musicals. And I’m sure I’m not the only person on the planet that feels this way, so to take on such a brilliant story, with so many, many memorable songs, and with tough arrangements that require performers with huge ranges to do the songs justice, is very brave, to say the least.

I was asked a few months ago to take part in a filmmaking festival a dear friend of mine was putting together. Because I am ridiculously busy and always say yes to things anyway, and then sometimes run myself ragged trying to get it all done, I acted like a grown up and said no.
Presented by Jamaica Moon Productions and GGC Players.
Written by Joyce Carol Oates
Directed by Gloria Gifford
I am ashamed to say that I have not read anything by Joyce Carol Oates, something I will strive to rectify after seeing this quite extraordinary play.

So You Want to be a Vampire - The Eclectic Theatre Company

Well, it is Halloween, which is coincidentally my birthday, so it is to be expected, nay even hoped for that the theatres of NoHo are full of horror, gore and scary stuff.
‘So You Want to be a Vampire’, written by local writer Marni L.B. Troop definitely fits the bill!
