What better way to instill the importance and the magic of live theatre in children than an excellent production like this?
Root Beer Bandits is a wonderfully creative musical filled with brilliant beautifully sung songs, and a storyline with plenty of poignant moments, softly sold life lessons and great big characters.
The story is set in the wild west, in a town whose economy depends of their root beer plant. A couple of no good bandits plot to steal the town's precious root beer and, at the same time a young pony express delivery girl, masquerading as a boy of course, arrives in the town with a letter for the sheriff.
So the story unfolds with gorgeous songs, hilarious and playful encounters and truly magical performances. The Garry Marshall Theatre has a knack for these family oriented productions. They value the importance of promoting fairness, love, forgiveness, equality and friendship, and in each and every one of their productions they become better and better at it.
I highly recommend “The Root Beer Bandits, A Rootin’ Tootin’ Wild West Musicale.” This is a fun and brilliantly produced musical, with a fabulous set, great costumes and some really talented performers clearing having a lot of fun with this wonderful material.
