The Mad Jackrats served up a great feast of stellar improv over the weekend. Makin' A Movie at Theatre 68 in NoHo.

The hilarious show is called Makin' A Movie, created and directed by Lauren Patrice Nadler. Her shows have been running about once a month for more than three and a half years.

The shows are comprised of three fast-moving, 20-minute sets and are very entertaining and based on audience member suggestions put into a bowl before the performance.

The very talented young cast is made up of Christina Orloff, Susana Woo, Micky Shiloah, Kuali'i Wittman, Jenny Curtis, Chadwick Armstrong & Marquise C. Brown.  This month's show featured the talented Fidelia Grace as a guest star improviser.

The energetic and gifted performers think on their feet and without missing a beat came up with hilarious shenanigans, quick costume changes and hilarious characters often wearing colorful wigs.  Their opening dance number was very entertaining and funny too.  This was my first Mad Jackrats show and I understand that some of the hilarious characters I saw on the stage are recurring ones and audience favorites.

Christina Orloff serves as Makin' A Movie's producer. Very well done!   Each improv performer shines playing a multitude of offbeat characters, including inanimate ones such as a drawer and lamp which must be seen to be believed.  The Mad Jackrats presented a great show -  very very funny stuff!

They say laughter is the best medicine and The Mad Jackrats are definitely medical pros!  Kudos to the cool set design and music too.  Visit www.LPNSImprov.com for more info!
