"The Wicked, Wicked Mae West" is a charming and fun new one-act comedy well directed by Iris Merlis, starring Collette Rosario and Michael Robb.

It is written by talented classic Hollywood lover Willard Manus and plays at The Brickhouse Theatre in North Hollywood.  "The Wicked, Wicked Mae West" is part of Write Act Rep's new series Three By Will to celebrate their 20th anniversary season.

Willard Manus also wrote the renown stage productions "Frank & Ava" and "Marlene" amongst many other shows and the film adaptation of "Frank & Ava" starring Rico Simonini and Emily Elicia Low is currently doing very well on the film festival circuit.

The fun and witty romp about the legendary Mae West takes place at her cozy Santa Monica beach house in 1959 where she is paid a visit by TV journalist Charles Collingwood, well played by Michael Robb. He has been sent by CBS to check her out for an upcoming Person to Person TV special and the famously flirty, man-loving Mae is just uh... just checking him out... in legendary Mae West fashion.

Petit dynamo Collette Rosario dazzles us with her take on the sexy glamorous legend who in 1959 would have been about 66 years young.

Mae West fans and classic Hollywood lovers will love "The Wicked, Wicked Mae West." As the story unfolds we learn more and more surprising details about the pint-sized screen icon who helped save Paramount Studios and helped to put Cary Grant on the map.

"The Wicked, Wicked Mae West" is presented by Artistic Director John Lant, produced by Tamra Pica and associate produced by Jonathan Harrison. Lighting design by Alonzo Tavares, choreography by Anne Mesa and publicity by Sandra Kuker PR.

An added perk of the show is the use of real Mae West recordings before and after that entice you to "come up and see her sometime"... Enjoy!
