The Tony Award-winning comedy BOEING BOEING is the next offering from the Group Rep at The Lonny Chapman Theatre in North Hollywood. Written by Marc Camoletti with translation by Beverley Cross and Francis Evans, and directed by Larry Eisenberg, we are treated to a hilariously funny play.

It’s “anything goes” 1960s Paris, and swinging bachelor Bernard (Paul Cady) has what seems to be the perfect set-up. He lives with, and is engaged to three gorgeous airline hostesses. Three you say…yes three. Gloria (Jennifer Ross) flies TWA. Gabriella (Jenny Sue Johnson) flies Alitalia. Gretchen (Vesna Tolomanoska) flies Lufthansa. Each has a different layover schedule and Bernard has managed to keep each of his three fiancés happy and away from each other. Until now… A new faster plane is being added to each of their airlines, so their schedules have suddenly changed. You can guess what happens next. French farce at its best with laughs galore. Keeping all this chaos together for Bernard is housekeeper Berthe (the wonderful Michele Bernath), but she’s had enough, and is exhausted by Bernard’s absurdity.

Enter Robert (the talented Patrick Burke), an old friend of Bernard’s who is fascinated with how Bernard has managed to get away with all this for so long. Robert decides he wants this lifestyle, so he plans to get three Airline Hostesses of his own. You really have to see how he handles this for yourself. Suffice it to say, it is French farce all the way.

Putting all this together is the excellent direction of Larry Eisenberg, the perfect set designed by Chris Winfield and every member of the wonderful team at the Group Rep bringing their “A” game.

It’s time to go to the theatre and have some fun, and BOEING BOEING is FUN, FUN, FUN. You will be entertained and have a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
