All for Art ... A ShoWorks Entertainment Production ... At the Sherry Theater in NoHo ...Premiere Review by J. J. Alemany ... I highly recommend to get there early cause parking is tricky and you don't want to miss the beginning ! All For Art starring Vee Kumari, Chris Worley and Jo Galloway ... Directed by Gretchen Goode and Produced and Jack of All Trades by Darren Portilla . The heat was a 100 degrees Fahrenheit at night so I think many people chose to stay at home... The Sherry Theater has a working AC so is nice and cool ! A small crowd showed up the show began ! I knew the premise was a married couple getting a surprise visit from an IRS official and that it was a comedy but what surprised me was how informative this play was on tax law, bill of rights , etc... Definitely were very funny moments ... Worley delivered a solid funny performance , Kumari also delivered an stunning performance yet her role was more serious and emotional , she told me afterwards that was her 1st theater performance!!! She came from film and tv ...and last but not least ... Galloway's performance reminded me of 2 of my all time favorite actresses... Cate Blanchett and Lucille Ball !!! Jo got the versatility of Blanchett, an epitome of beauty and brains !!! Yet she also has that beautiful goofball aspect of Lucille Ball !!! The show went smoothly from beginning to end ! Bravo!!! I'll see it again !!! All For Art will be tonight at 8pm , tomorrow Saturday at 8 pm and Sunday at 2 pm through the month of September at The Sherry Theater in NoHo ...
